The New England Poling Season begins this weekend with an 8-mile downriver cruise on the Piscataquog River in New Boston, NH. This is a Class I to Class II river cruise being hosted by Marshall Moore and is an AMC (Appalacian Mountain Club) event as well. It's a good time to get started and, if you're new to the sport, get some tips and learn some techniques from those who've been doing it for awhile. They're all friendly people and willing to help out and pass on information and skills to those interested.
